About SHRM Fayetteville Area (FASHRM)

Our Mission

SHRM Fayetteville Area (FASHRM) is the official local affiliate of SHRM and SHRM North Carolina (SHRMNC). We connect HR professionals in the Fayetteville and Cumberland County region to global HR standards, statewide resources, and local networks that elevate the practice of human resources and the future of work.

Who We Are

Chartered on January 18, 1996 as Chapter #0522, FASHRM is a nonprofit, volunteer-led organization serving HR professionals across Fayetteville, Cumberland County, and the surrounding area.

Our members represent a wide range of sectors, including public service, education, healthcare, manufacturing, military-adjacent employers, small businesses, and private industry. Together, we create a professional community committed to building stronger workplaces and stronger leaders.

What We Do

• Provide SHRM-aligned professional development, programs, and learning opportunities.
• Support SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certification preparation and continuing education.
• Create a local forum for networking, collaboration, and problem-solving among HR peers.
• Facilitate cooperation between business, government, education, and labor in our region.
• Promote the value of HR as a strategic partner in organizational success.
